Since the beginning of CompAsia, our focus has always been to minimise e-waste and maximise affordability. What started out as a company that refurbishes laptops, CompAsia has evolved and grown into a multifaceted device lifecycle solutions hub. The change began when the founder Julius Lim saw that the turnover for smartphones was immensely greater than laptops. The company then began purchasing smartphones from large organisations and resold them where demand was high. This proved to be an effective business model as the company continued to see growth. From the initial shift, Julius was then inspired to see what other solutions could be implemented within the realm of device lifecycles. Collaborating with some of the top minds in the telecommunications industry, the company developed new solutions that are in line with the goal of minimising e-waste and maximising affordability. As a company, we recognise how technology can enrich our lives. Unfortunately it comes with the cost of our earth’s resources. It is then our responsibility as citizens of this planet to avoid abuse and preserve its richness to ensure sustainability for generations to come.
