You Need to Know About Early Bird Check-In What It Is and How It Works

What is earlybird check in? EarlyBird Check-In is a convenient service offered by airlines, such as Southwest Airlines, that allows passengers to secure an earlier boarding position without having to manually check in 24 hours before their flight. This service is particularly beneficial for travelers who want to increase their chances of selecting preferred seats, especially in open seating arrangements, or ensure overhead bin space for carry-on luggage. When you purchase EarlyBird Check-In, the airline automatically checks you in 36 hours before the flight’s departure time, which is earlier than the standard check-in window. This gives you a competitive advantage over other passengers who wait to check in at the regular time. EarlyBird Check-In is a paid add-on, with the cost varying depending on the airline and flight route.
