Vilitra is a brand of vardenafil, a medicine used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). Like other PDE5 inhibitors (such as sildenafil in Fildena/Cenforce and tadalafil in Vidalista), it can cause headaches because it widens blood vessels, which can also affect blood vessels in the head. Risk of headache with Vilitra: Headache is one of the most common side effects. It occurs in roughly about 10% or more of users in clinical studies of vardenafil (the exact rate varies by dose and study). It is usually mild to moderate and often improves as the medicine wears off. Other possible side effects: Flushing (warm/red face) Dizziness Nasal congestion Indigestion Back or muscle aches (less common) To reduce headache risk: Avoid taking more than the prescribed dose. Limit alcohol, as it can worsen dizziness and low blood pressure. Stay hydrated. Avoid combining it with other ED medicines. Do not use Vilitra with nitrate heart medicines (such as nitroglycerin), and ask a clinician before use if you have heart disease, very low blood pressure, or take alpha-blockers.
